He was predeceased by: his parents, Rufus Carson, Jr. and Alice Grace Carson; his stepmother Willie Mae Carson; his wife Jackie Searles; and his daughter Laura Williams.
He is survived by: his children, Yolanda Winston of Houston, TX, Derrick Carson of Paducah and Ronald Winston of Dallas, TX. He is also survived by three grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; several cousins.
