It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Violet Marie Corey of Owingsville, Kentucky, born in Salt Lick, Kentucky, who passed away on April 1, 2023, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Jack Conn and Etta Grey Reed Conn; her husband Lowell Corey; her son Ricky Corey; and her siblings, Mildred Charles, Deloria Regina Conn, Larry Conn and Ricky Conn.
She is survived by: her son Tracy Corey (Laura Shower) of Morehead; her grandchildren, Ceria Thacker (Chase) of Owingsville, Salica Corey of Owingsville and Shawn Corey of Owingsville; and her sisters, Reda Conn of Owingsville, Frankie Skaggs of Mt. Sterling, Michelle Bargo of Berea and Phyllis Watts of New Hampshire. She is also survived by four great grandchildren; and three great-great grandchildren.
