He was predeceased by: his parents, William Delmore "Billy" Curtis and Effie Mae Howard Curtis; his daughter Mary Elizabeth Curtis; and his siblings, Sammy Hanshel and Billie Jo Caudill.
He is survived by: his wife Virginia Lee Phipps Curtis; his children, Timothy Curtis (Donna) of Midland, Michael Wayne "Slugger" Curtis (Whitney) of Peasticks, Virginia "Gayle" Morris (Marvin) of Morehead, Linda Michelle Westerman (James) of Hillsboro and Ashlee Nance (Zac) of Owingsville; his brother Danny Hanshel; and his friend Stearl Johnson (Karen) of Morehead. He is also survived by 22 grandchildren; and 28 great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews; other extended family and friends.
