It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Owen Goodpaster of Owingsville, Kentucky, who passed away on April 29, 2024, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Epsie Goodpaster and Lucy Purvis Goodpaster; and his stepmother Julie Goodpaster. He is survived by: his wife Nellie Hatton Goodpaster; his children, Patty McIlvain (Eddie), Joyce Wells (Gordie), Bryan Goodpaster (Diana) and Jamie Goodpaster (Brandy); his grandchildren, Blanche Purvis (Steve), Rachel Holbrook, Gordie Wells, Jr., Rhett Goodpaster, Royce Goodpaster, Adam Crockett (Shania), Railey Pile and Roby Pile; and his great grandchildren, LaPaula Purvis, Amy Jo Purvis, Briley Richards, Rayden Holbrook, John, Kaden, Easton and Braxton Crockett. He is also survived by 3 sisters-in-laws and many nieces and nephews.
