He was predeceased by: his parents, Clyde Adkins and Lorene Hollar Adkins; his brother Charles Adkins; and his brother-in-law Stewart Ferrell. He is survived by: his wife Kathy Asher Adkins; his sons, Jacob Sebastian (Heather) and Lee Sebastian (Taylor); his grandchildren, Ariel, Ryan and River Sebastian; his son Lexie Coy; his siblings, Jerry Adkins (Jenny), Jimmy Adkins (Lisa), Randy Adkins (Cathy) and Linda Ferrell; his sister-in-law Peggy Adkins; and his nephews, Patrick and Parker Asher. He is also survived by his family and friends.
