He is survived by: his son Billy L. Carpenter of South Shore; his grandchildren, Jack of Salyersville, Kerri of Salyersville and Tess Carpenter of Salyersville; and his siblings, Joe Carpenter of Winchester, Ronnie Carpenter of Owingsville, Judy Brierley of Owingsville and Mildred Buckler (Walter) of Paris. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
