With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Margaret Alice Karsner Murphy (Owenton, Kentucky), who passed away on July 10, 2020 at the age of 101. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, James Karsner and Mattie Agnes Smith Karsner of Monterey; her husband Lindsay Murphy; her brother Kenneth; and her cousins, Lela Maude and Harry Clark Karsner.

She is survived by: her former spouse Lindsey Carr Murphy; her son James Karsner Murphy; and her granddaughters, Chastity, Melinda and Lindsey. She is also survived by three great-grandsons.

“Margaret was married to my First Cousin, Twice Removed. I so loved with working and discussing with Margaret about the MURPHY family, primarily in Owen, Garrard, Lincoln, Henry, Shelby, and Jefferson Counties. She was a pure delight to talk to and she could recollect memories of some of my ancestors. She was unique and a devout Christian. God welcomes her home but she will always remain in my heart.”
