He was predeceased by: his father Edgar; his grandmother Poe Towles; his son Stanley; and his brothers, Leslie, Don, Walter, Edgar, Jerry and Larry (Flora).
He is survived by: his wife Margaret Jacobs Towles; his daughters, Sallie Sparks (Craig), Cindy Towles, Cheryl Wright (David) and Joy Spencer (Justin); his grandchildren, Gabe, Nathanael Wright, Blaine, Liam and Magnolia Spencer; and his sisters, Ann Wainscott and Nila Marksberry. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Burial will follow in the Wheatley Cemetery and memorials may be made to Dallasburg Baptist Youth Group.
