He was predeceased by: his wife Violet Staton Franks; his parents, Buford Franks and Willoughby Yancey Franks; and his brother Lawrence (Peggy Rudolph Franks). He is survived by: his son Ken, Jr. (Carol); his grandson Kenny III; his daughter Kenda Franks Bottoms (Eddie); his grandchild Kyser Rene'; his stepgrandson Auston Trent (Michelle); and his stepgreat-granddaughter Autumn Trent.
