He is survived by: his wife Amber Whitaker Fortner; his children, Jonathan Tyler Fortner (Hannah), Matthew Taylor Fortner, Kaylee Elizabeth Fortner, Aydon Kylar Tisdale and Wade Lesyd Fortner; his grandchildren, Jolynn Marie and Jonathan Landon Fortner; his aunts, Hope and Dorothy Oakes; his uncle Nathan Oakes; and his cousin Dudley Oakes.
