James Edward Chipman Sr. Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of James Edward Chipman Sr. of Owenton, Kentucky, who passed away on December 8, 2023 at the age of 88. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, John "Willie" Chipman and Hallie Herndon Slaughter Chipman; his wife Beulah Prather Chipman; his daughters, Martha Jean Chipman and Doris Smith; his stepson Billy Glass; and his siblings, Harold Don Chipman, Beulah Mae Combs, Lawrence Slaughter and Rosie Marie Case.
He is survived by: his children, Merolyn Sue Chipman, Jacqueline Chipman Brantley, Robert D. Chipman, James "Eddie" Chipman, Ruth Glass Salyer and Eastland "E. T." Glass; and his brother Lowell T. Slaughter. He is also survived by fifteen grandchildren; twenty-four great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren.
