He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Nolan and Roxie Moyers Rains; his siblings, Lloyd, Ova, Herman, Carl, Vernon, Alma, Katie and Virginia; his children, Maynard Rains (Sandy) of Laguna Niguel, CA and Cindy Piccirillo of Owenton; his grandchildren, Michael Piccirillo, III, Nicole McCarthy (Steve), Rosie Moreira (Felippe) and Nicole Rains; his great grandchild Cameron McCarthy; and his brother Bert Rains.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks donations be made to Long Ridge Baptist Church, 3575 US-127, Owenton, KY 40359.
