It is with great sadness that we announce the death of William Whitmer Sr. (Owensboro, Kentucky), who passed away on May 10, 2020, at the age of 74, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Hewlett Whitmer and Dorothy Tromly Whitmer; his stepson Robert Michael Johnson; and his brother John Whitmer (Joell). He is survived by: his wife Joan Roberts Whitmer; his children, Lisa Dodd (Billy) of Madison, MS, William Whitmer Jr. (Caroline) of Owensboro and Aaron Whitmer (Cailee) of Owensboro; his grandchildren, Zale Dodd, Jackson Whitmer, Lennon Whitmer and Willow Whitmer; and his brothers, Bruce (Kathy) and Bobby (Cindy). He is also survived by in-laws; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and an aunt.
