He is survived by: his parents, Dorothy Simmons and William "Med" Griffith; his siblings, Ricardo "Ricky" Simmons (Diane), Joyce "Baby Sister" Griffith (Frank Jones), Mark Griffith, Calvin Brooks of Louisville and Layson Brooks, Jr. of Lewisport; his stepparents, Maxine Griffith and Layson Brooks, Sr.; and his caregiver Jessica Jones. He is also survived by aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
