He was predeceased by: his aunt Golda; and his uncle Dee Kirkendoll. He is survived by: his wife Ying Zhang; his daughter Jami Morris (Eric); his stepdaughter Jing An; his grandchildren, William, Wesley Cooper, Braylon, Collin, Cameron, Easton Morris, Sophia, Ryan Wang and Alissa An; and his sisters, Ruth Lentz (Charles) and Linda Young (Don).
