William Earl Wardrip Obituary
William Earl "Bull Dog" Wardrip, 88, of Owensboro, Kentucky died July 21, 2017 at his home. He was born October 22, 1928 in Breckinridge County, Kentucky to the late Reese and Eltie Wardrip. He had been employed by Peerless Pottery and was a member of Berean Baptist Church. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Dorothy Wardrip, in 2006; brothers, Wilbur Wardrip and Doc Wardrip; and sisters, Nellie Dunn, Rhodie Shartzer and Margaret Bishop.
He is survived by his loving wife of eight years, Betty Jean Wardrip; five sons, William Earl Wardrip, Jr., Danny Earl Wardrip, Leonard Dennis Wardrip, Jerry Allen Wardrip and Scott Wardrip; three daughters, Maggie Ann Owaynat, Ginger Jean Paul and Robin Elaine Robinson; thirty grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; four step-grandchildren; a sister, Gracie Cotton; two step-sons, Mark Higdon and Darrin Higdon; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Services will be at 3:00p.m. on Monday, July 24, 2017 at James H. Davis Funeral Home & Crematory in Owensboro. Visitation is from 1:00p.m. until 3:00p.m. on Monday at the funeral home.
