Victor C. Hudson Obituary

Victor C. Hudson, 94, of Owensboro, passed away Monday, November 27, 2023 at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital. He was born August 29, 1929 in Ohio County to the late Murray Hudson and Effie Pearl Jones Hudson. Victor owned and operated shoe stores and was a U.S. Air Force veteran. He was a Kentucky Colonel and a member of Buck Creek Baptist Church.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Jewell Hudson; daughter, Rebecca McCaslin; grandchildren, Shelly Wiggins and Andrew Young; and sons-in-law, Ed McCrackin and David Shelton; and a daughter-in-law, Jan Towery.

Survivors include three daughters, Judy McCrackin, Deborah Shelton, and Vicki Rafferty (Kenneth); son, Ronnie Towery; son-in-law, Charles McCaslin; six grandchildren, Robin Austin, Melissa Welch, Patrick Shelton, Bryan Shelton, Dr. Lyndsey McCaslin, and Matt McCaslin; four great-grandchildren, Dustin and Kevin Austin, Hudson and Hayden McCaslin; and one great-great-grandchild, Kameron Austin.

Funeral services will be held at noon on Saturday, December 2, 2023 at James H. Davis Funeral Home and Crematory. Burial will follow in Owensboro Memorial Gardens. Visitation is from 11 a.m. until the time of service on Saturday at the funeral home.
