It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Vernile Gray Whitmer of Owensboro, Kentucky, who passed away on December 3, 2020, at the age of 95, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Ollie M. Gray and Iva Lillian Gray (Hoagland); her husband Richard Henry Whitmer Sr.; and her son Dwight Whitmer. She is survived by: her children, Richard Henry Whitmer Jr. (late Betty), Judy Maddox (Mark) and Deborah Hall (late Ricky); her daughter-in-law Beth Whitmer; and her grandchildren, Rick Whitmer (Carrie), Mark Maddox Jr., Andrew Maddox (Rebecca), Jordan Maddox, Christopher Hall, Alexis Hall and Tyler Whitmer (Krystal). She is also survived by several great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
