With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Vela Simpson Horsley (Owensboro, Kentucky), born in Cumberland, Kentucky, who passed away on March 14, 2020 at the age of 90. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Rev. C. W. Simpson and Knoxie Hogan Simpson; her husband L. T. Horsley; her son Charles E. Turley; her stepmother Nora Simpson; her brother Hiland Paul Simpson; and her siblings-in-law, Fred Grigsby and Betty Simpson.
She is survived by: her daughter Debbie Turley Osborne (Tommy); her grandsons, Lance Osborne (Sarah), Jacob Osborne and Sam Osborne; her great grandchildren, Katie Beth, Mary Caroline, Luke, Tyler and James Osborne; her sister Martha Grigsby; her uncle Talbot Simpson; and her friend Jeff Glenn.
