He was predeceased by: his parents, William Franklin and Alice Mae Lethco Scales. He is survived by: his wife Joann Collignon Scales; his children, Pamela Steele (John) of Atlanta, Tommy Scales II (Robyn) of Owensboro and Christopher Scales of Atlanta; his grandchildren, Brittany Steele Bramlett (Ben) of Atlanta, Austin Steele (Katie) of Atlanta, Mitchell Steele (Kelly) of Atlanta, Logan Steele of Atlanta, Nate Steele (Danielle) of Atlanta, Mary Catherine Scales of Owensboro and Luke Scales of Owensboro; his great grandchildren, Isabella of Atlanta, Lily of Atlanta, Lucy Bramlett of Atlanta, Brody of Atlanta and Ryan Steele of Atlanta; and his sisters, Joyce Gilpatrick of Dale, IN and Dixie Hemmings (Mike) of Rockport, IN.. He is also survived by his grandchildren and great grandchildren.
