He was predeceased by: his parents, George T. Smith, Sr. and Louise Sandefur Smith. He is survived by: his wife Jacqueline Butler Smith; his son Joseph "Jay" Theodore Smith; and his grandchildren, Brady Theodore Smith, Taylor Mackinzie Smith and Cameron Joseph Smith.
