He was predeceased by: his parent Pearl Amos; his wife Carolyn Sue McDaniel; his daughter April Davis; and his brother James Orville McDaniel. He is survived by: his daughters, Paige S. Campbell Roby of Owensboro, Melody Ann Campbell Isbill of Owensboro, Karen Sue Campbell Crowe of Owensboro and Keishie Raye McDaniel of Owensboro; and his brother William McDaniel. He is also survived by eleven grandchildren; twenty-one great-grandchildren.
