She was predeceased by: her parents, Frank Hulsey and Delma Anderson; her former husband Christopher Means Sr.; her husband Rev. William A. "Bill" Alvey; and her sister Shirley Stallings.
She is survived by: her children, Jessica Morris (Thomas), Steven Means (Tamotha), Kevin Means (Pam) and Shelly Means; her grandchildren, Karissa Means, Tyler Means, Alexis Means and Dylan Means; and her siblings, Christine Brown, Bonnie Mason (Billy), Marion Jackson and Danny Hulsey (Cheryl). She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
