He was predeceased by: his parents, William Edward Boykin and Lily Dell Howell Boykin; his wife Wanda Logan; and his sister Mary Jane Burrus. He is survived by: his children, Shannon Boykin (Tonya), Dawne Magee (Bill), Gena Dill (Terry), Michelle Lovin and Edward Boykin (Lindsey). He is also survived by thirteen grandchildren; and six great grandchildren.
