She was predeceased by: her parent Norman Palmer; and her siblings, John Thomas Palmer, Douglas Palmer, Keith Palmer, Lucille Bradley, Jennie Rose Pittman, Lorena Baird, Geraldine Fountain Gibbs and William Kent Jr..

She is survived by: her parent Naomi Palmer; and her children, Derrick Carrero, Paul Carrero, Aleda Carrero, Valerie Carrero and Octavia Carrero-Fulkner. She is also survived by 18 grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephew, cousins and friends.
