He was predeceased by: his parents, Elmyron Edwards and Lula Clementine Edwards; and his brothers, Billy, Benny and Danny Edwards.

He is survived by: his wife Connie Bradley Edwards; his sons, Jason Edwards (April) of Owensboro and J. D. Edwards (Jessica) of Owensboro; his grandsons, Barron Edwards, Gavin and Boen Geary; and his brother Bobby Edwards (John Midkiff).
