He was predeceased by: his parent Dayton Hicks; his daughter Connie Winkler; and his siblings, Dayton Hicks, Robert Hicks, Jack Hicks, Mary Lea Hicks, Bessie May Hanning, Lucille Hicks, Billie Heffelfinger, Edwina Scott, Bettye Haynes, Jeanne Hicks and Peggy Anne Hicks.
He is survived by: his parent Nancy Hicks; his wife Mildred Ann Hicks; his sons, William E. Bollinger (Marna) of Lawrenceburg, KY and Roy M. Hicks, Jr. (Marie) of Owensboro; his son-in-law Paul Winkler of Owensboro; and his child Phillips Court of Owensboro, KY. He is also survived by seven grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
