She was predeceased by: her parents, Clarence Melvin and Mary Galloway Hodskins; her husband Winfred Appleby; her daughter Starla Warren; and her siblings, Audrey Fogle, Wilma Farmer, Joyce Calhoun, Joseph Hodskins, Kenneth Hodskins, Eckless Hodskins, Ivo Hodskins and Genola Payne.
She is survived by: her children, Randy Lowe (Cassondra), David Appleby (Cindy), Rick Appleby (Diane), Vickie Palmer, Betty Appleby and Latara Appleby; her grandchildren, Madison Cooper, Makayla Lowe-Sikes, Sara Appleby, Ginny Ball, Lauren Appleby Mims, Lindsay Appleby Keeton, Kristen Varon, Michael Simon, Chris Palmer and Cary Palmer; and her sisters, Dot Drury, Doris Westerfield, Jean Edwards and Pat Jackson. She is also survived by 15 great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Sunday, December 15th 2024 from 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM and on Monday, December 16th 2024 from 8:30 AM to 9:30 AM at the James H. Davis Funeral Home and Crematory (3009 Frederica St, Owensboro, KY 42301). A funeral Mass was held on Monday, December 16th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church (4029 Frederica St, Owensboro, KY 42301).
