Ron Sweat Sr. Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Ron Sweat Sr. of Owensboro, Kentucky, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on December 11, 2024 at the age of 77. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Ron Sweat Sr. to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his parents, J. C. Sweat and Bertha Sweat; and his daughter Kim Lawrence. He is survived by: his wife Linda Mattingly Sweat; his son Ron Sweat, Jr. (Pam); and his grandchildren, Myles (Linzy), Amber (David), Brittain (Chris), Rachel (Jay) and Shaina (Chase). He is also survived by eight great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Friday, December 13th 2024 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Saturday, December 14th 2024 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Haley McGinnis Funeral Home & Crematory (519 Locust St, Owensboro, KY 42301). A funeral service was held on Saturday, December 14th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
