He was predeceased by: his parents, Everett Lamont Gray and Bonnie Ailene Trail; his wife Mary Jane Hamilton Gray; his brother Owen Dale Gray; and his children, Shirley, Susie and Robert Gray.
He is survived by: his children, Jeffrey Lee Gray (Connie), Scott Allen Gray (Dana), Sherry Lynn Johnson (Tommy) and Cynthia Jean Brockwell (Mike); and his sister Carla Dawson Kamp. He is also survived by eight grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren.
