It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Robert W. Slack (Owensboro, Kentucky), who passed away on March 11, 2025, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Robert W. Slack to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his parents, J. Fleming Slack and Mildred L. Wedding; his wife Marjorie W. Slack; and his grandson-in-law William Hayden Thompson Jr.. He is survived by: his daughter Jeannie M. Howard (Jeffrey); his grandchildren, Brandon Michael Howard (Destiny) and Megan Howard Thompson; his sister Mildred F. Gilles (Robert); and his friend Donna Clouse. He is also survived by brothers and sisters-in-law.
Visitation was held on Thursday, March 13th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Friday, March 14th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM. A prayer was held on Thursday, March 13th 2025 from 6:30 PM to 7:00 PM at the Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory (900 Old Hartford Rd, Owensboro, KY 42303). A Mass was held on Friday, March 14th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Immaculate Catholic Church (2516 Christie Pl, Owensboro, KY 42301). A graveside service was held on Friday, March 14th 2025 from 11:15 AM to 11:30 AM at the St. Anthony Catholic Church (261 St Anthony Rd, Utica, KY 42376).
Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to Brescia University or Owensboro Catholic High School.
