She was predeceased by: her parents, William Patrick and Mary Ethel McCarthy; and her siblings, John, Jim, Bill, Bob, Dennis McCarthy and Mary Florence McCarthy.
She is survived by: her husband William Joseph Elder; her sons, Randy Elder (Ann) of Texas, Steve Elder (Carol) of Florida, Bruce Elder (late Anja) of Whitesville and David Elder (Cheryl) of Owensboro, Kentucky; and her sister Magdalen McCarthy. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren.
