He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Best and Katie Lea Adelman Best; and his siblings, Ed Best, Mickey Best, George "Bud" Best, Miriam Rouse, Dot Berry, Lena Lovan and Helen Leib.
He is survived by: his wife Barbara Leet Best; his children, Randall Best (Erin), Phillip Andrew Best, Brad Best (Donna), Wendell Leet (Paula), Steve Leet (Kathy), John Leet (Judy), Leigh Anne Nantz (Mike) and Amanda Blount (Bryan); and his siblings, Jean Anne Griffin and Jerry Best. He is also survived by 18 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
