He was predeceased by: his parents, Elmer Franklin and Dorothy Irene McCrocklin Bailey; his wife Sheila Ann Bailey; his son Gary Lee Bailey; and his sister Mary Dale Stites.
He is survived by: his sons, Robert Wayne Bailey of Owensboro and Russell Franklin "Rusty" Bailey of Owensboro; his grandchildren, Shawn Tuttle of Portage, Christopher Bailey of Ina and Jeff Bailey of Orlando, Florida; his brother David Wayne Bailey (Linda) of Beaver Dam; his brothers-in-law, Darrell Stites of Masonville and Bob Edge; his nieces and nephews, Shana Hartley (Steve) of Hartford, Anita Meeks (Gary) of Masonville, Kevin Bailey (Angie) of Cromwell, Bobby of Owensboro and Mikey Edge of Owensboro; and his close friend Darlene Narkis of Owensboro. He is also survived by four great grandchildren.
