He was predeceased by: his brother Dr. John C. Sears; and his niece Summer Sears. He is survived by: his children, Courtney Winders (Kris), Eric Sears (Jenifer Poell), Holly Sears (Stephen Arnold) and Brady Sears; his siblings, Susan C. Sears (Bill Rambicure) and Sammy James; and his grandchildren, Tyler, Eli, Ada, Amelia, Elizabeth and Nalin. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
