Regina Turner Laws Obituary
Regina Turner "Genie" Laws, 60, of Owensboro, passed away May 7, 2018 at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital. She was born January 19, 1958 in Owensboro, KY to the late Butler Romine and Mary Case Turner. She was a homemaker, loved spending time with family, especially her 7 grandchildren and gossiping with her twin sister Renie.
She enjoyed gardening and camping. Genie was a God-fearing woman, and though she suffered for many years, her faith never wavered! She always spoke her mind! You always knew where you stood with her! She is survived by her 3 daughters Tisha (Kurt) Hoffman, Melissa (Brad) Hoffman and Ashley Laws her primary caretaker, all of Owensboro.
She is also survived by her 7 grandchildren Karlee, Gracie, Isaiah, Asiah, Lincoln, Elijah & Brik, 5 sisters Renie Turner her twin sister and best friend, Helen (Jerry) Davis, Tammy (Rick) Rowan, Donna Turner and Pauletta McCarty, all of Owensboro. Genie was preceded in death by the love of her life and husband of 40 years, Richard Scott "Ricky" Laws, sister Linda Turner Jones and 2 brothers Larry Romine and Roger Dale "Rogie" Turner.
Services will be 6:00 pm Thursday, May 10, 2018 at Haley McGinnis Funeral Home & Crematory, with Minister Kurt Hoffman officiating. Visitation will be from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm Thursday at the funeral home.
