He was predeceased by: his parents, Amil Lockhart and Bessie Lockhart; his wife Judy Lockhart; his son Tom Lockhart; and his grandson Logan Lockhart.

He is survived by: his son Tony Lockhart (Sonya) of Owensboro; his daughter-in-law Pam Lockhart of Owensboro; his grandchildren, Michelle Cole (Jeremy) of Deanfield and Josh Lockhart of Owensboro; his sister-in-law Jeanne Warren Haight (Jim) of Owensboro; his niece Holly Covington (Kirk); and his nephew Barry Haight (Cindy) of New Jersey.

Memorial contributions may be made to First General Baptist Church.
