He was predeceased by: his parents, James Kenneth Hagan Sr. and Virginia Catherine O'Bryan Hagan; his brother Paul E. Hagan; his niece Rosemary; his brother Robin; and his brothers-in-law, Bill Early and Mike Smith.

He is survived by: his wife Frances Josie Russell Hagan; his children, Eric James Hagan of Owensboro, Mark Anthony Hagan (Katie) of Indianapolis, IN and Jill Lynn Kerr (Josh) of Sellersburg, IN; his grandchildren, Eva Hagan, Olivia Hagan and Avery Kerr; and his siblings, James Kenneth Hagan Jr. (Janet), Rosemary Smith, Tony Hagan (Debbie) and David Hagan (Ginny). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews; his special golf friends.
