It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Patrick Phillip Vowels of Owensboro, Kentucky, born in West Louisville, Kentucky, who passed away on August 25, 2023, at the age of 97, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Virgil Vowels and Ollie Wheeler Vowels; his wife Juanita Beyke Vowels; his son Allen Vowels; his daughter-in-law Birdie Vowels; his brothers, Tom, Peg, Lloyd, Pete and George Vowels; and his granddaughter-in-law Amy Vowels.
He is survived by: his children, Sandra Kelley (Don) and Phillip Vowels (Pam); and his grandchildren, Dr. Don Kelley II (Heather), Michelle Curran (Bill), Dr. Jill Paladines (Jorge), Sara Ortego (Megan Olmstead), Amanda Wheatley, Becca McCoy (Matt), Stephanie Terry (Joe) and Chad Vowels. He is also survived by 21 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
