He was predeceased by: his parents, Ellis Wing and Genevieve Reed (Horace); his wife Karen Lee Russell Wing; his sister Patricia Ann Hughes; and his uncle George Williams (Janet Combs).
He is survived by: his children, Tanya Clack (Maurice), Ashlee Russell (Jermaine), LeKesha Dickerson, Almarrow Talbott, Lisa Drake Sharber and Barbara Drake; and his siblings, Alma Rowan, Connie Warner (Howard), James Russell (Lynn) and David Phillps. He is also survived by 15 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
