Nelda Duncan Barnett Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Nelda Duncan Barnett of Owensboro, Kentucky, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on March 9, 2025 at the age of 87. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Henry Duncan and Dorothy Duncan; her husband William "Bill" Barnett; and her siblings, Howard Duncan, Shirley Adams and David Duncan.
She is survived by: her daughters, Leslie Rice (Byron) of Owensboro and Dona Johnson (Terry) of Philpot; her grandchildren, Luke Johnson (Jessica) of Philpot, Ben Rice (Michelle) of Hermitage, TN, Jordan Johnson (Emily) of Bowling Green and Lacey Schroader (Shaun) of Owensboro; and her great grandchildren, Braelynn Johnson, Jayden Johnson, Oliver Rice, Blake-Everly Schroader, Iris Rice, Mason Johnson, Sebastian Johnson and Anastasia Johnson. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, March 14th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Saturday, March 15th 2025 at 10:00 AM. A funeral service was held on Saturday, March 15th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the First Christian Church (700 J R Miller Blvd, Owensboro, KY 42303).
