He was predeceased by: his parents, Hayden G. Smith and Goldie Alvey Smith; and his siblings, Henrietta May and Alvey Smith. He is survived by: his wife Donna Hardmen Smith; his children, Mischelle Genét Smith and Paul Alexander Smith; his grandchildren, Sheridan Dawson, Asheria Brown (Bill), Christopher Alexander Smith, Diamond Alexis Canary and Leland Grant Smith; and his siblings, Mamie Gordon and Jeani Smith. He is also survived by 5 great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, December 4th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM and on Thursday, December 5th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Haley McGinnis Funeral Home & Crematory (519 Locust St, Owensboro, KY 42301). A prayer was held on Wednesday, December 4th 2024 at 6:00 PM at the same location. A funeral service was held on Thursday, December 5th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
