We are sad to announce that on March 12, 2021, at the age of 89, Melba Jean Richey of Owensboro, Kentucky passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Paul Hurt and Edna Jane Harris Hurt; her husband Victor Richey, Sr.; her daughters, Verna Jane Richey and Marilyn Miller; and her siblings, Paul Douglas Hurt, Laverne Eudy and Paulette Shirley.
She is survived by: her children, Patricia Fay Richey of Owensboro, Paula Rhea Sapp (Louis) of Owensboro and Victor Richey, Jr. (Suzy Besnia) of St. Louis; her grandchildren, Patrick Sapp (Casy) of Bowling Green, Tamara Sapp (Jonathan Piercy) of Hazard and David Miller of Owensboro; her great grandchild Samantha Sapp of Bowling Green; her siblings, Patricia Spear (Ed) of Glasgow, Jesse Hurt (Aleen) of Glasgow and Richard Hurt (Donna) of Coral Gables, Florida; and her son-in-law Steve Miller of Owensboro. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
