She was predeceased by: her parents, James Nixon and Birchie Nixon; her son Louis Edward Hammack; and her sister Fannie Gertrude Howard Crabtree. She is survived by: her children, Sally Kopanski (Ken Staten) of Proctorville, OH and Ben Hammack (Deana) of Lexington, KY; and her grandchildren, Ted Hammack (Danelle), Kelly Hill (Zach) of Lexington, KY. and Amber Smith (Cris) of Owensboro, KY. She is also survived by three great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to the Alzheimer's Association or Walnut Memorial Baptist Church.
