It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mattie Edna Lewis-Hanley (Owensboro, Kentucky), who passed away on November 8, 2018, at the age of 98, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Malcom Lewis, Sr. and Carrie Ethel Lewis; her husband Ardell Hanley, Sr.; her son Michael Hanley; and her siblings, Malcolm Lewis, Jr. and Thelma Harris.
She is survived by: her children, Ardell Hanley, Jr., Linda Washington (Perry), Malinda Hanley, Patricia Long (Richard) of Owensboro and Brenda Cowherd. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren, 24 great- grandchildren and 1 great grandson, several nieces and nephews, distant cousins and a host of friends.
