She was predeceased by: her parents, Sam Reneer and Mae Shively Reneer; her husband Charles Anthony Payne; and her brothers, Roy Reneer, Charles Reneer and Harry Reneer.

She is survived by: her son Andrew Freels (Angela); her stepdaughter Chrystal Payne (Aaron); her granddaughters, Kayla Freels and Tanisha Pruitt; and her sister Wanda Smith (Coleman). She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
