She was predeceased by: her parents, William Monroe McClain and Lillie Mason McClain; her husband George D. Childers, Jr.; her son Rod Worthington; and her siblings, Luther McClain, William McClain, Ruth Royal, Cil Whitehead and Edwina Guthie.
She is survived by: her daughters, Deborah Worthington of Owensboro and Pam Porter (Paul) of Owensboro; and her sisters, Betty Fox Sapp and Linda Potter (Larry). She is also survived by six grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Monday, March 17th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the James H. Davis Funeral Home and Crematory (3009 Frederica St, Owensboro, KY 42301). A funeral service was held on Monday, March 17th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
