He was predeceased by: his former wife Lena Mae Melhiser; his wife Pauline Maddox Melhiser; and his son Wayne Melhiser. He is survived by: his son Alan Melhiser (Dawn); and his stepsons, Owen Maddox (Amy), Steve Maddox (Karen) and Bob Maddox. He is also survived by nine grandchildren; and ten great-grandchildren.
