He was predeceased by: his parents, Alton M. Paris and Anna Sue Black Paris; and his siblings, Alton, Robert, Gilbert, Mable, Murial and Charlotte.

He is survived by: his wife Janie H. Mayes Paris; his children, Debbie Ferguson (Arvin), Sheila Blanchard (Doyle), Mark A. Paris (Becky) and Cindy Goodwin (Danny); and his sister Marie Dorris. He is also survived by 9 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren, and 4 step great-grandchildren.

“So sorry to hear that mark is gone.he was a great neighbor when he lived on delray st..he used to go next door to the jones house to sit and chat with john.now they both gone.he was always friendly and always spoke to me..he used to walk by house and wave at me..all the ones that lived on my street are mostly all gone now..and they renting their homes..sad.. The family are in my prayers”
