He was predeceased by: his parent J. R. Miller; and his daughter Catherine Miller of Virginia. He is survived by: his wife Robin Ballard Miller; his stepchildren, Jared Lee (Mariam), Jennifer McClain (Sterling) and Jamie Lee; his grandchild Emerson McClain; his siblings, Jim Miller (Paddy), Jane Miller Haase, Mary Dee Denton (Barry) and Tim Miller (Mary Dean); and his nieces and nephews, Marian Elizabeth Miller, Graham Miller (Natalie), Kelsey Starks (Chris), Scottie Ellis, Jack Ellis, Meredith Miller and Jeff Miller. He is also survived by seven great nephews and nieces.
